Emergency Dental Care


During our usual workinig hours please call the practice 01509 212170 and we will endeavour to see you as soon as possible or provide suitable advice. Persons not registered with the practice are welcome to call. We do prioritise existing patients but will always try to help where we can.

Out of hours, Bank Holidays or weekends when we are closed please call the practice and follow the advice on our messaging service.

In the case of severe pain, trauma or continuous bleeding call NHS 111 for out of hours dental emergency advice.

Care Plan registered patients away from home in the UK or abroad can make a request for assistance under the World Wide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme Level A. Contacts:

The scheme is discretionary so, if applicable, they will endevour to supply you with contact details for a dentist within your locality to help you. Please refer to Handbook Level A in the patient hub for full cover details, claim forms etc.  Patient Portal WWDEAS

Alternatively there is a further option for all to access a private out of hours emergency care priovider  247 Emergency Dental Services Nottingham.

Patients that are on a plan will also be charged as per their pay as you go fees. However they will be sent an invoice to be able to claim the maximum amount allowed as per the terms and conditions set out within their policy. Plan patients would need to notify the call handler they are on a plan and a patient of our practice. Plan members can then complete the relevant paper work to make a request for reimbursement of costs via the plan provider DPAS.

 

 

Emergency appointments during working hours

Call during working hours or email us and our team will do everything we can to see you as soon as possible.

Urgent appointments for registered patients

Common urgent problems include toothache, lost fillings or crowns and denture problems. Please phone us on the day for availability and we will do our best to make sure you are seen as soon as possible.

Urgent appointments for non-registered patients

Our ability to offer emergency treatment for non-registered patients will depend on the level of demand from registered patients, who will be given priority. Please call us and we will help where we can.

 

Emergency dental treatment outside working hours

Phone the practice on 01509 212170 for current options. If you are experiencing unusual or excessive bleeding, trauma or swelling, seek help immediately by calling the NHS out of hours – on their 111 service. It is staffed by experienced advisers and healthcare professionals who will be able to direct you towards the best course of action. This could be an emergency dentist, a late-night pharmacy, a walk-in centre or even A&E.

Care Plan registered patients with a dental emergency out of the area can contact the Worldwide Dental Assistance team to request assistance. Treatment costs resulting from an accident may also be covered by the Care Plan Worldwide Dental Emergency Assistance Scheme.
